Once you have felt the connection with source, once you have had a glimpse of the wisdom that lies within each one of us, once you have experienced the calmness and peace that comes with the  knowing that everything happens exactly at the right time in exactly the right way, you have experienced true healing.

…I have and am experiencing this through CranioSacral Therapy.

My Journey:

My name is Beke Kristina Bertram-Toft. I was born and grew up in Germany and have been living on the Sunshine Coast with my husband and now daughter and son since 2009.

I noticed a great lack of offered services in CranioSacral Therapy, which is practised so widely in Germany and many other parts of Europe, that I decided to focus on my passion and launched "Cranio Solutions" in 2009.

I joined Birtwill Physiotherapy, a highly regarded local physiotherapy clinic at Coolum Beach in 2010, and we have been offering our sole or combined services for four years until I moved into my home based clinic to be able to better combine my work and family commitments.

After finishing my senior certificate in 1997, I took off travelling New Zealand and Australia for a bit before studying at university. It took a couple of years until I was led to Physiotherapy, in which I graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree at the University of Applied Sciences Osnabrück .

The first years of working as a physiotherapist in private clinics and hospitals I found draining and I often felt the results not very satisfying. I found it was not entirely up to me and my treatment how a patient progressed. Some patients did much better then expected, others were not improving at all. I was hooked and wanted to know more. This curiosity has been leading me on my journey to professionally and personally grow.  I discovered Craniosacral Therapy and the idea of an innate wisdom, that each one of us has within us. Tuning into this wisdom has helped me to open doors that were kept closed for me before.

My physiotherapy qualification enabled me to study Craniosacral Therapy. With Dr. John Upledger, an American Osteopathic Physician, being the scientific brain and researcher behind this approach, it was obvious for me to learn from the source.

For years now Upledger Craniosacral Therapy has been taught internationally, with Germany having one of the biggest institutes outside of the United States of America. I feel blessed to have learned and been assessed by internationally renowned therapists and instructors, such as Gert Groot Landeweer or Rene Assink.

With CranioSacral Therapy being a relatively new modality in Australia I focus on keeping in close contact with the German Upledger Institute and like to combine visits home with updating my knowledge in CST. I am also involved with teaching CST here in Australia. My goal is to combine standards of western medicine and complimentary therapies, as my clinical experience has proven to me, that this is what is needed.
